We were there too.

Children who grow up around domestic abuse are victims — not just witnesses. But when we try to report it as adults, we’re told it doesn’t count.

We lived in fear. We watched the shouting, the smashing, the controlling. We slept through screams and walked on eggshells.

#NotJustMum is a campaign demanding legal change to recognise adults who were emotionally and psychologically abused as children in homes with domestic violence. It’s time the law saw us too.
